1. Introduction
This policy explains what information Rojgar Bharat and Rojgar Labs collect, why it is used, when it is shared, and the choices available to users of the Rojgar Bharat mobile app and related services.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: registered phone number, profile name, Firebase authentication identifier, and Rojgar Bharat user and session identifiers.
- Saved and learning activity: target-exam choices, bookmarks, preferences, Quiz and Practice attempts, answers, results, streaks, revision history, and related progress records.
- Device and notification information: device identifier, platform, app version, Firebase Cloud Messaging token, notification permission and delivery activity, and session-security information.
- Analytics and diagnostics: app interactions, lifecycle events, performance and network diagnostics, error metadata, and masked session replay used to understand and improve the app. Replay is configured to mask all text inputs and images. When the app identifies a signed-in user to PostHog, it uses an opaque Rojgar Bharat user identifier rather than the user's name or phone number.
- Information provided directly: details included in support, privacy, or account-deletion communications.
3. How information is used
- To authenticate users, maintain accounts and sessions, and protect the service.
- To provide saved content, personalised exam choices, Quiz and Practice history, revision features, and other requested functionality.
- To register devices and deliver notifications when the user permits them.
- To measure app use, diagnose errors, improve reliability and content, and prevent abuse.
- To respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests and comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing of information
Rojgar Labs does not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed with service providers that process it on behalf of Rojgar Bharat, including Google Firebase for authentication and messaging, PostHog for analytics and masked session replay, and infrastructure providers used to host the API and store product data. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users, Rojgar Labs, or the service.
5. Security and retention
Rojgar Bharat uses HTTPS in transit and access controls intended to protect account and product data. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data is retained while an account is active and as needed to provide the service, respond to requests, prevent fraud or abuse, and meet security, audit, and legal obligations. After a verified deletion request, account data and associated product records are deleted or anonymized from active systems, except for limited records that must be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or enforcement purposes.
6. User choices and rights
Users can control notification permission in their device settings. Users may request access to or correction of applicable information through the contact page. An account and its associated data can be submitted for deletion using the link in the app's Profile screen or the instructions on the account deletion page.
7. Policy changes
This policy may be updated as the product evolves. Material changes become effective when posted on this page.
